I upgraded my old computer yesterday.The old computer had serverd for seven years.The CPU and the Mainboard cannot adapt the new operating.Here are some details about the old one.

CPU:Pentium III! 800MHz(133MHz*6)

Memmory:512MB Kingmax(128MB*2+256MB*1)

Harddisk:Maxtor 40GB(System use only)

Removable Media:CD-RW*1 DVD-RAM*1 Floopy*1

Mainboard:Soltek 65ME+(815G Chipset+ICH2)

Power:Greatwall 300W P4 Power

The resources of the computer are limitted a lot.I used to make this computer serve as a download server.

Now,there are more details about the new computer.

CPU:Pentium E2140 1.60GHz(200MHz*8)

Memmory:1GB Kingston(DDRII 667MHz)

Harddisk:Seagate 320GB

Removable Media:CD-RW*1 DVD-RAM*1 Floopy*1

Mainboard:SOYO I5GC-L(945G Chipset+ICH7)

Power:Greatwall 300W P4 Power

I tried to overclock the computer.But it was not successful because of the limit from the chipset.I got 233Mhz*8=1.86GHz as a result.

I installed the Windows Vista.

The Vista system enabled the Areo function.But I need to have a single graph card instead of the graph on the motherboard.

Here is the result of the test after the overclock.

I will attend IELTS test on 11th,August.It is the second time I have the same test in the same place.I have prepared for the test for several days.I plan to review the listening part on Cambridge IELTS Book one to five.And I will have a simulation test before I have the test.I will make full use of the Cambridge IELTS Six.

Now I have the listening practice twice a day.I read the two passages every day.Reading part is my shortcommings.It is necessary to have some practice.
